Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Athro (Cadeirydd Personol) Ffactorau Dynol a Gwyddor Gwybyddol. Rwy'n cyfarwyddo'r Grŵp Ymchwil Rhagoriaeth Ffactorau Dynol (HuFEx) ac rwy'n Gyfarwyddwr Ymchwil yn y Ganolfan Deallusrwydd Artiffisial, Roboteg a Systemau Peiriant Dynol (IROHMS). Rwyf ar secondiad rhan-amser (ers mis Mawrth 2019) i ddiwydiant fel Cyfarwyddwr Canolfan Rhagoriaeth Airbus mewn Seiberddiogelwch Dynol-Ganolog (ACE-H2CS).
Mae fy meysydd arbenigol yn cynnwys: Ffactorau Dynol; rhyngwyneb peiriant-dynol (HMI) dylunio / rhyngweithio dynol-cyfrifiadur (HCI); Cyberpsychology; bodau dynol mewn awtomeiddio ac AI; trafnidiaeth a symudedd deallus (gyda ffocws allweddol ar gerbydau cysylltiedig a/neu awtonomaidd); ymddiried mewn technoleg a'i fai; ac effeithiau ymyrraeth a thynnu sylw ar berfformiad tasgau. Rwy'n aml yn gweithio gyda thimau amlddisgyblaethol gan gynnwys gwyddonwyr cyfrifiadurol, peirianwyr, gwyddonwyr cymdeithasol, ac arbenigwyr cyfreithiol i fynd i'r afael â phroblemau ymchwil a nodi atebion ym mhob un o'r meysydd hyn. Mae llawer o fy mhrosiectau ymchwil yn y gorffennol a'r presennol yn cynnwys gweithio gyda chydweithwyr academaidd a diwydiant.
Rwyf wedi sicrhau (yn aml fel Arweinydd PI neu sefydliad) >37m (miliwn, y DU£) o gyllid ymchwil e.e., Airbus, CREST, DHCSTC, EPSRC, ESRC, HSSRC, IUK, MOD, NCSC, RCloud, SOS Alarm; WEFO, ac Ymddiriedolaeth Wellcome. Ymhlith y prosiectau diweddar mae: AI for Collective Intelligence (AI4CI, 2024-2029, EPSRC, ~ £12m - AI for Collective Intelligence (AI4CI) |); Ffynnu symudedd diogel dibynadwy ar gyfer oedolion hŷn (2016-19, IUK, >£5.5m, Arweinydd Prifysgol Caerdydd); IROHMS (2019+, WEFO a Phrifysgol Caerdydd, >£5.5m); Airbus Cyber Psychology and Human Factors (2019-2022, Airbus / Endeavr Wales, ~ £1m, PI); ac Egwyddorion Atebolrwydd Gwasgarol ar gyfer Cymdeithasau Aml-Asiant (2020-23: ESRC-JST, Prifysgol Caerdydd (>£700k), PI, gyda chydweithwyr yn Japan – e.e., ym Mhrifysgolion Kyoto, Osaka a Doshisha).
Mae fy ymchwil yn pontio Ffactorau Dynol a Gwyddor Gwybyddol: mynd i'r afael â materion ymarferol pwysig o fewn gweithleoedd a chynnwys trafnidiaeth wrth dynnu ar theori a defnyddio - a datblygu dulliau methodolegol arfer gorau yn aml, e.e., defnyddio technegau a dulliau ffactorau arbrofol a dynol ymddygiadol, cerbydau, efelychwyr gyrru, a monitro dynol-wladwriaeth. Rwy'n cael fy nghymell yn arbennig gan ymchwil sy'n siarad â chwestiynau ymchwil y byd go iawn a phroblemau sy'n ymwneud â pherfformiad dynol, gyda'r nod o nodi atebion effeithiol, ymarferol a chymwys.
Mae fy ngwaith Gwyddor Gwybyddol yn canolbwyntio'n bennaf ar effeithiau ymyrraeth weledol a chlywol a thynnu sylw at gyflawni tasgau sy'n cynnwys sylw, cof tymor byr a datrys problemau. Er enghraifft, datod effeithiau ymyrraeth ar gof a gyfeirir gan nodau, ac, addasu nodweddion rhyngwynebau cyfrifiadurol i annog prosesu gwybyddol dyfnach o wybodaeth allweddol ac wedi hynny amddiffyn rhag effeithiau negyddol ymyrraeth.
