Gradd anrhydedd dosbarth cyntaf mewn Peirianneg Fecanyddol o Brifysgol Caerfaddon gyda 7 mlynedd o brofiad diwydiannol cyn dechrau gweithio gyda Phrifysgol Caerdydd yn 2001 pan gefais fy mhenodi'n Uwch Beiriannydd Prosiect yn y Ganolfan Ynni, Gwastraff a'r Amgylchedd (CREWE) yn yr Ysgol Peirianneg gyda'r cyfrifoldeb am sefydlu a rheoli cydweithredu diwydiannol. Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn, llwyddais i reoli trosiant UKAS, £100k yr Ysgol, Gwasanaeth Profi Ynni Solar (SETS) a rhaglen 3M yr UE POWERFLAM2, sy'n cynnwys 12 o bartneriaid Ewropeaidd sy'n ymwneud â chyd-danio glo gyda chynhyrchion biomas a gwastraff. Yn 2005 cynorthwyais i ddatblygu cais llwyddiannus gwerth £7.9M gan ERDF i sefydlu Canolfan Ymchwil Tyrbinau Nwy Prifysgol Caerdydd (GTRC)a chefais fy mhenodi'n rheolwr arni yn 2006.
Rheolais y gwaith o osod a chomisiynu cyfleuster GTRC, prosiect gwerth £7.9M ac unwaith i fyny a rhedeg roeddwn yn rheoli cyllid GTRC (Trosiant tua £1M) a chyfrifoldeb am reoli personél GTRC a rhaglenni prawf.

Cynorthwyais i ddatblygu cysylltiadau ymchwil gyda'r gwneuthurwr dur TATA ac rydw i wedi bod yn ymwneud yn bersonol â darparu cyrsiau hyfforddi hylosgi i 350 o Beirianwyr TATA dros y pedair blynedd diwethaf. Yn fwy diweddar, datblygais a chyflwynais gwrs DPP un diwrnod ar gyfer y Swyddfa Eiddo Deallusol ym maes Technoleg Tyrbinau Nwy. Yn ogystal, rwy'n cynnal arddangosiad risg a pheryglon hanner diwrnod ar gyfer myfyrwyr MEng ac MSc.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n ymwneud â rhaglenni ymchwil sy'n ymchwilio i'r defnydd o danwydd amgen ac effaith amrywioldeb tanwydd wrth weithredu Tyrbinau Nwy. Er mwyn hwyluso'r ymchwil hon, rwyf wedi dylunio a chomisiynu cyfleuster cymysgu nwy a fydd yn galluogi hyd at bum ffrwd nwy i gael eu cymysgu â'r crynodiadau a ddymunir a llinell ocsigen ar gyfer arbrofion hylosgi ocsi. Yn ogystal, cynorthwyais i ddylunio llosgwr generig newydd gyda mynediad optegol ar gyfer delweddu fflamau a mesuriadau nad ydynt yn ymwthiol.
