Crynodeb o'r ymchwil
Fy maes ymchwil craidd yw datblygiad cymdeithasol, gyda ffocws ar ffactorau amddiffynnol mewn perthnasoedd agos plant fel aelodau o'r teulu a ffrindiau. Rwy'n arwain The Play Research Centre lle rydym yn ymchwilio i rôl bwysig chwarae wrth gefnogi datblygiad, lles a chysylltiad plant ag eraill ar draws gwahanol leoliadau, o fywyd teuluol i amgylcheddau addysgol a gofal iechyd.
Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn deall y mecanweithiau cymdeithasol, emosiynol a gwybyddol sy'n sail i anawsterau emosiynol ac ymddygiadol yn ystod plentyndod. Rwy'n Gyd-gyfarwyddwr yr Uned Asesu Niwroddatblygiad yng Nghanolfan Gwyddor Datblygiadol Dynol Prifysgol Caerdydd ac rwy'n cyd-arwain prosiectau sy'n anelu at ddatblygu dealltwriaeth o brofiadau ac anghenion cymorth teuluoedd mabwysiadu a gwarcheidiaeth arbennig .
Crynodeb addysgu
Rwy'n cyfrannu at addysgu ar y modiwl BSc mewn Seicoleg Ddatblygiadol ym Mlwyddyn 2 a'r modiwl Dulliau Ymchwil mewn Seicoleg Ddatblygiadol yn y Flwyddyn Olaf.
Ar lefel ôl-raddedig, fi yw'r Cydlynydd Lleoliad ar gyfer yr MSc mewn Seicoleg. Rwyf hefyd yn cyfrannu at addysgu a goruchwylio prosiectau traethawd hir a thiwtoriaid personol ar yr MSc mewn Cyflyrau Seicolegol Plant.
