Fel Cyfarwyddwr Cenhadaeth Ryngwladol a Dinesig yn yr Ysgol Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd ac uwch ddarlithydd ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, rwy'n dod â chyfoeth o brofiad ac arbenigedd i'm rôl. Ers ymuno â'r brifysgol yn 2014, rwyf wedi dal amryw o swyddi, gan gynnwys arweinydd Addysg Ymarfer Ffisiotherapi a'r Pennaeth Proffesiynol Ffisiotherapi.
Gyda chefndir fel ffisiotherapydd cymwysedig, gan raddio o Brifysgol Fetropolitan Leeds ym 1994, roeddwn i'n arbenigo mewn ffisiotherapi cyhyrysgerbydol. Trwy gydol fy ngyrfa, rwyf wedi dangos hanes o sefydlu gwasanaethau a rolau newydd, gan arddangos fy ngallu i yrru arloesedd ac addasu i anghenion esblygol.
Er bod fy niddordebau yn rhychwantu gwahanol feysydd, mae gen i angerdd arbennig am ofal sy'n canolbwyntio ar y person, ymarfer myfyriol a phroffesiynol. Mae'r ffocws hwn yn llywio fy ymagwedd addysgu, gyda phrif bwyslais ar ymarfer proffesiynol a'r rhyngweithio beirniadol rhwng cleifion ac ymarferwyr. Rwy'n credu mewn arfogi gweithwyr gofal iechyd proffesiynol gyda'r sgiliau a'r wybodaeth angenrheidiol i ddarparu gofal tosturiol ac effeithiol.
Yn fy swydd arweinyddiaeth bresennol, rwy'n ymroddedig i feithrin cydweithredu rhyngwladol a hyrwyddo ymgysylltu dinesig, gan alinio â blaenoriaethau Dinesig Byd-eang y brifysgol. Rwy'n ymrwymedig i rymuso myfyrwyr, hyrwyddo ymchwil, a chael effaith gadarnhaol o fewn y brifysgol a'r gymuned ehangach.
