In 2012 I graduated from the University of Granada with a Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting studies focused on research and teaching at university level, previous to this I studied an undergraduate degree in Translation and Interpreting at Granada.
After completing my studies I taught Spanish as a Foreign Language, Translation and Interpreting modules at Ulster University. I joined the Hispanic Studies Department at Cardiff University in 2015, I am currently teaching Spanish language and Translation modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In addition to this I am a Tutor in the Languages for All programme. In regards to my administrative duties, I am Language Coordinator for year 2, Year Abroad Coordinator and Exam Liaison Officer for the Hispanic Studies department.

I graduated from both my undergraduate and master’s degree with first-class honours at the University of Granada. In 2012 I was appointed as a Sworn Translator of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and in 2015 I became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In 2017 I applied for Higher Education Academy Fellowship, recognition that was awarded to me in the same year. In addition to this I have worked for the Chartered Institute of Linguists as an Oral examiner for the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting examinations.
