Athro Economi Wleidyddol Ewrop
Trosolwyg
Mae gan yr Athro Thomas Prosser dros bymtheg mlynedd o brofiad ymchwil, gan gyhoeddi tri monograff ac erthyglau cyfnodolion lluosog. Mae'n economegydd gwleidyddol sy'n ffafrio safbwyntiau sefydliadol ac yn defnyddio dulliau ansoddol a meintiol. Yn gynharach yn ei yrfa, ymchwiliodd i ddeialog gymdeithasol Ewropeaidd, polisi cyflogaeth a chymdeithasol Ewropeaidd ac integreiddio Ewropeaidd trwy lens theori sefydliadol. Roedd ei fonograff cyntaf, European Labour Movements in Crisis, yn un o gynnyrch yr agenda hon.
Yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf, mae wedi dod â diddordeb yn y berthynas rhwng yr economi wleidyddol ac ideoleg ac wedi gwneud mwy o ddefnydd o ddulliau meintiol. Mae ei drydydd monograff, Beyond Woke and Anti-Woke, yn esbonio cynnydd ideoleg cyfiawnder cymdeithasol trwy ddamcaniaethau economi wleidyddol, cysylltiadau cyflogaeth ac ymddygiad sefydliadol ac yn defnyddio setiau data fel yr Astudiaeth Etholiad Prydeinig (BES) ac Astudiaeth Etholiad Cenedlaethol America (ANES).
