Mae ei phrif ddiddordebau ymchwil ym meysydd strategaethau rheoli'r gadwyn gyflenwi, rhwydweithiau cyflenwi ystwyth a gwydn, systemau cyflenwi hyblyg a dylunio rhwydweithiau cyflenwi. Mae hi wedi bod yn rhan o brosiectau yn y sectorau ffasiwn, tecstilau a bwyd.
Ymunodd Laura â Phrifysgol Caerdydd ym mis Medi, 2007, ar ôl gweithio ym Mhrifysgol Napier Caeredin, lle cwblhaodd ei PhD hefyd, o'r enw 'Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi Ystwyth yn y Sector Ffasiwn'. Mae ganddi radd dosbarth cyntaf BEng o Brifysgol Transilvania, Brasov, Romania mewn Peirianneg Ddiwydiannol.
Mae Laura yn aelod o'r Adran Rheoli Logisteg a Gweithrediadau. Mae hi hefyd yn Gymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch. Mae'n darlithio ar amrywiaeth o bynciau Gweithrediadau a Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi ar lefelau israddedig ac ôl-raddedig, ac mae'n gweithredu fel goruchwyliwr i fyfyrwyr MSc, MBA a PhD ar ystod o brosiectau Gweithrediadau a Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi.
