Yr Athro Robson yw Pennaeth yr Adran Farchnata a Strategaeth yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd (CARBS). Enillodd ei Ph.D. a dechreuodd ei yrfa academaidd yn CARBS cyn gadael am Ysgol Fusnes Prifysgol Leeds. Ailymunodd yr Athro Robson â CARBS ym mis Ionawr 2019, ar ôl cyfnod o ddeng mlynedd yn Leeds. Treuliodd yr Athro Robson chwech o'r rhain fel Pennaeth yr Is-adran Farchnata. Yn y rôl hon, helpodd i sefydlu'r Ganolfan Ymchwil Data Defnyddwyr a ariennir gan ESRC, roedd yn un o sylfaenwyr Sefydliad Leeds ar gyfer Dadansoddi Data, ac roedd yn Gyfarwyddwr Rhaglen MSc Dadansoddeg Defnyddwyr a Strategaeth Marchnata. Mae wedi bod yn ymwneud fel Prif Ymchwilydd neu Gyd-ymchwilydd mewn prosiectau ymchwil a ariennir sy'n gyfanswm o tua saith miliwn o bunnoedd.
Mae diddordebau addysgu ac ymchwil yr Athro Robson yn canolbwyntio ar farchnata rhyngwladol, strategol, perthynas a manwerthu. Mae wedi ennill nifer o wobrau am addysgu ac ymchwil. Mae'r Athro Robson wedi cyhoeddi mewn sawl cyfnodolyn o fri rhyngwladol gan gynnwys British Journal of Management, International Marketing Review, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of World Business, Management International Review, a Organization Science.
Ar hyn o bryd mae'n gwasanaethu fel Golygydd Cyswllt Journal of International Marketing, ac mae ar Fwrdd Cynghori Golygyddol British Journal of Management, International Marketing Review, a Journal of International Business Studies. Mae ei waith addysgu a goruchwylio doethurol yn yr ystafell ddosbarth yn rhychwantu sawl maes o strategaeth farchnata (ryngwladol).
Mae'r Athro Robson yn brofiadol iawn mewn goruchwylio myfyrwyr doethurol, ar ôl goruchwylio dros ugain o fyfyrwyr hyd at gwblhau'n llwyddiannus. Mae'n credu'n gryf iawn mewn adeiladu'r academi.
Yn olaf, mae'r Athro Robson wedi bod yn ymwneud â gwaith ymgynghori ar gyfer Cummins, Holiday Inn, General Motors, a Marks and Spencer, ymhlith cwmnïau eraill.
Meysydd goruchwyliaeth
Prof. Robson is available to supervise doctoral students under the topics advertised on the Research tab. Indeed, he has a successful track record in building the academy, having supervised nineteen through to completion. Many of his former students are now established academics. He has also been involved in the organization of training for doctoral students throughout his career, having run an MRes and capstone modules on an MRes, and having sat as external examiner for MRes programmes around the UK.
