After graduating with a BSc in Applied Biology from the University of East London, I joined the Department of Anatomy at Guy’s Hospital, London. It was there that my passion and interest in histology started. Since joining Cardiff University in 1996, I have worked in Departments of Wound Healing, Dermatology and CCMRC. In this role I am involved in several research projects supporting academics, postdoctoral fellows and postgraduate students. My area of expertise is processing and sectioning of frozen and paraffin embedded tissue, and subsequent histology, immunofluorescence and immunoperoxidase staining. I am also Deputy DSO for CCMRC.
