Ymchwil
Rwy'n defnyddio syniadau a dulliau o'r iechyd a'r gwyddorau cymdeithasol i archwilio'r amodau cymdeithasol-wleidyddol sy'n creu anabledd a sut y gall cyflyrau o'r fath arwain at rai pobl yn cael cyfleoedd cyfyngedig i gymryd rhan mewn bywyd bob dydd. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb penodol mewn archwilio'r effeithiau y mae'r cyflyrau hyn yn eu cynhyrchu mewn gwahanol agweddau ar fywyd bob dydd pobl (e.e. mynediad at ofal iechyd). Mae fy ymchwil wedi cael ei ariannu gan Tenovus Cancer Care, Ysgoloriaethau Sgiliau Economi Gwybodaeth (UE), Sefydliad Prydain Fawr Sasakawa, a Sefydliad Eingl-Japaneaidd Daiwa, ymhlith cyllidwyr eraill. Rwy'n ymgynghori'n rheolaidd ar gynhwysiant anabledd i sefydliadau rhyngwladol, gan gynnwys Sefydliad Iechyd y Byd.
Addysgu
Rwy'n addysgwr profiadol mewn therapi galwedigaethol ac yn fwy cyffredinol yn y gwyddorau iechyd; Rwy'n addysgu, goruchwylio ac archwilio ar lefel israddedig, ôl-raddedig a addysgir, a doethuriaeth. Rwyf wedi gweithredu fel arholwr allanol ar gyfer rhaglenni BSc mewn Therapi Galwedigaethol yn genedlaethol ac yn rhyngwladol, gan gynnwys yng Ngholeg y Drindod Dulyn, Gweriniaeth Iwerddon, ac yn y Coleg Metropolitan yn Athen, Gwlad Groeg. Rwyf hefyd yn golygu gwerslyfrau therapi galwedigaethol yn rheolaidd, fel y gyfres lyfrau sy'n arwain y byd Occupational Therapies without Borders, sydd wedi derbyn rhagair gan Desmond Tutu.
Rwy'n goruchwylio myfyrwyr PhD yn rheolaidd ym maes astudiaethau anabledd a salwch cronig ac rwy'n arholwr allanol profiadol ar gyfer traethodau doethurol sy'n canolbwyntio ar ymchwil anabledd ar draws amrywiaeth o ddisgyblaethau (iechyd y cyhoedd, iechyd byd-eang, astudiaethau rhyw, therapi galwedigaethol; anthropoleg feddygol) mewn prifysgolion yn y DU, Sbaen, Awstralia a Malaysia.
