Overview

With a background in Psychology and psychiatry, and now pursuing a PhD concerned with neurological conditions, my passion lies in unraveling the complexities of neurodegenerative disorders, with a special interest in Parkinson's Disease.

Currently, my research focuses on addressing the critical needs of individuals with neurological conditions. I aim to identify the requirements for enabling their participation in community activities that reduce social isolation and loneliness and promote their overall well-being. Additionally, I am investigating the existing support landscape provided by social care, charities, community clubs, local authorities, and residential care.

b) What support is currently provided (social care, charities, community clubs, local authorities, residential care)

c) What needs to be improved and how, including potential digital technology solutions.
