Rwy'n Ddarllenydd yn y Ganolfan Ymchwil Treialon a'r Decipher Canolfan ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Nod fy ymchwil yw gwella iechyd y cyhoedd drwy ddatblygu a gwerthuso ymyriadau gwella iechyd, gan ganolbwyntio ar ysgolion a theuluoedd. Rwyf hefyd yn arbenigwr methodolegol mewn gwerthusiadau prosesau - sy'n asesu gweithredu ymyriadau a dehongli canlyniadau o fewn treialon rheoledig ar hap ac astudiaethau eraill.
Rwyf wedi gweithio ym maes ymchwil iechyd cyhoeddus ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd ers 2007, gan arwain a chyfrannu at dimau ymchwil rhyngddisgyblaethol. Roedd fy hyfforddiant ymchwil gwreiddiol (a PhD) ym maes daearyddiaeth ddynol. Mae diddordeb mewn perthnasoedd cymdeithasol - yn enwedig o fewn systemau teulu ac ysgolion wedi bod yn llinyn cyffredin yn fy ngwaith ers hynny. Rwy'n ymchwilydd ansoddol profiadol, yn enwedig dylunio a chynnal cyfweliadau lled-strwythuredig.
Rwy'n gadeirydd Grŵp Dysgu a Datblygu y Ganolfan Treialon Ymchwil, ac yn arwain ar weithredu ei strategaeth L&D. Fi hefyd yw arweinydd y Ganolfan ar gyfer addysgu israddedig. Mae gan fy ngwaith ymrwymiad cryf i gyfranogiad ac ymgysylltu â'r cyhoedd. Yn DECIPHer rwy'n arweinydd academaidd ar gyfer Cynnwys y Cyhoedd, ac ar hyn o bryd rwy'n cefnogi datblygiad Grŵp Cynghori ar Rieni'r Ganolfan.
Rwy'n angerddol am ysbrydoli myfyrwyr i archwilio gwerth ymchwil i wella iechyd y cyhoedd, a nod fy ngwaith addysgu yw creu cyfleoedd ystyrlon iddynt ddatblygu eu sgiliau. Mae hyn yn cynnwys fy arweinyddiaeth modiwl dulliau ymchwil o fewn cwrs gradd rhyng-gyfrifedig yr Ysgol Meddygaeth, a chynnig cyfle i fyfyrwyr israddedig yn yr ysgol ennill profiad o weithio gyda thimau ymchwil trwy eu prosiectau cydrannau a ddewiswyd gan fyfyrwyr (SSCs).
