My main area of research interest revolves around musculoskeletal rehabilitation, in particularly sports rehabilitation. This encompasses many avenues of interest including exercise, strength training stretching and functional rehabilitation. My MSc dissertation was on functional outcome measures in ACL reconstructed individuals.
My teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy programmes reflects the research interests such as exercise physiology, stretching, strengthening, functional rehabilitation and proprioception.

Addysgu
I teach on both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Physiotherapy programmes within the MSK team, with my areas of expertise around Sport and Exercise. I am currently the module leader for two of the Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy Msc modules. I teach basic Physiotherapy skills, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Exercise for Health and in patient populations, Strength training, Programme Design, Functional Rehabilitation and integrating manual and soft tisuee technique to facilitate exericse form.
In the Summer of 2018 I received fuding to develop a website on exercise. Two students then took a summer placement to develop this website. It was designed to support the teaching of exercise at both UG and PG courses but is open to anyone. The website introduces basic exercises that you may come across in a gym environment in order to develop strength and core control. There are tips and key pointers on form. A link to the website can be found here.
