Overview
Tim is a dedicated physiotherapist with a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. With a profound interest in both his clinical and academic roles. Tim has over 30 year experience in clinical practice, they have worked with a diverse range of patients, from elite athletes to individuals with chronic conditions. Tim focusses on how exercise can induce beneficial changes in tissues and systems in enhancing performance, promoting health, and rehabilitation of function.
As an educators Tim also passionate about imparting knowledge to the next generation of physiotherapists. They teach exercise physiology, rehabilitation techniques, strength and conditioning and sports injury management.
Tim also mentors students in Sports Physiotherapy, introducing and guiding them in the sport world at a variety of sports in all levels.
Their research interest explores the mechanisms through which exercise influences tissue adaptation and systemic responses, aiming to optimize movement and therapeutic interventions for both acute and chronic conditions.

Research
Research Focus: Tim's research is centered on understanding the physiological and biomechanical effects of exercise on the human body. This includes:
- Gaining insight into the useo f movement to promote beneficial changes in human systems to manage both acute anc chronic conditions.
- Investigating how different types of exercise interventions can stimulate changes in movrment and subsequent impact.
- Exploring the role of exercise in managing chronic conditions such as arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders.
- Developing evidence-based exercise protocols to enhance athletic performance and prevent injuries.
- Studying the long-term benefits of exercise in maintaining overall health and well-being.
Publications and Presentations: Tim has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented their research at national and international conferences.
