Ymchwil
My research focuses on the application of novel and traditional geochemical techniques in marine carbonates to understand two broadly defined themes (1) the stability of coral reef systems in the presence of external forcings (e.g. tectonics, climate, land use) and (2) the biogeochemical drivers of climate.
Specifically, I aim to understand the impact of land use on the biogeochemistry and health of coral reef systems and examine their adaptability in face of modern-day environmental stresses. Also, I focus on understanding mechanisms driving major climate transitions across the last 65 million years in Earth's history.
