Trosolwg o Ymchwil
Fy mhrif ddiddordebau ymchwil yw delweddu llygaid, llygad blaenorol, lensys cyffwrdd, a rheoli myopia. Ymgymerais â'm hymchwil ôl-raddedig ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, gan gyflwyno fy nhraethawd ymchwil o'r enw 'An in vivo investigation of choroidal vasculature in age-related maccular degeneration' ym mis Mai 2017. Roedd y gwaith hwn yn canolbwyntio ar y defnydd o ddeallusrwydd artiffisial i ganfod a dosbarthu'r cyflwr hwn o sganiau OCT 3-D o gefn y llygad. Fel optometrydd cymwysedig, mae gan fy ymchwil ffocws clinigol cryf, ac rwy'n gweithio gyda chydweithwyr yn acamedia a diwydiant ar sawl prosiect.
Ym mis Mawrth 2025 dechreuais 3 blynedd, rhan amser Daphne Jackson Trust Fellowship, ar brosiect sy'n ymchwilio i strwythur a swyddogaeth retina mewn clefyd Stargardt.

Rwy'n arwain y modiwl israddedig 3ydd flwyddyn ar Golwg Isel a Lensys Cyffwrdd, gan gyflwyno darlithoedd a deunyddiau dysgu eraill, yn ogystal â goruchwylio clinigau lensys cyffwrdd israddedig2il a3ydd flwyddyn. Dechreuais y clinig Myopia Control yn y Brifysgol, gan osod lensys cyffwrdd arbenigol i blant gyda'r nod o arafu dilyniant myopia (short-sightedness). Rwy'n cael fy nghydnabod fel Cymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch.
