Trosolwg
Rwy'n Gymrawd Ymchwil yn Ysgol y Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, sy'n arbenigo mewn ymchwil feintiol ar ddigartrefedd ac ansicrwydd tai. Rwy'n cynnal ymchwil sylfaenol i achosion, canlyniadau a chanlyniadau pobl sy'n profi digartrefedd ac ansicrwydd tai. Mae fy ymchwil hefyd yn cynnwys astudiaethau sy'n defnyddio data gweinyddol a chysylltiedig i werthuso effeithiolrwydd ymyriadau ar gyfer pobl sy'n profi digartrefedd, gan gynnwys gwaith cymhwysol fel treial rheoli ar hap PHaCT ar gyfer pobl sy'n gadael y carchar ac ymyrraeth atal digartrefedd ieuenctid Upstream Cymru .
Yn fy rôl bresennol, rwy'n arwain y maes ymchwil thematig tai a digartrefedd yn Ymchwil Data Gweinyddol Cymru, gan lunio blaenoriaethau ymchwil a chynnal ymchwil sy'n berthnasol i bolisi ac ymarfer. Rwyf hefyd yn cadeirio Rhwydwaith Ymchwil Tai a Digartrefedd Cymru, sydd wedi'i leoli yn Sefydliad Ymchwil a Data Cymdeithasol ac Economaidd Cymru (WISERD), sy'n anelu at gryfhau cydweithredu ar draws disgyblaethau academaidd, a rhwng y byd academaidd, polisi ac ymarfer.

Yn y DU, mae data meintiol ac ymchwil ar brofiad digartrefedd yn gyfyngedig, o'i gymharu â gwledydd eraill fel yr Unol Daleithiau. Felly, mae fy ymchwil yn mynd i'r afael â'r bwlch tystiolaeth hon gan ddefnyddio data gweinyddol - data a gynhyrchir yn rheolaidd gan sefydliadau fel elusennau, awdurdodau lleol, a gwasanaethau iechyd yn ystod eu gwaith bob dydd. Ochr yn ochr â'm hymchwil academaidd, mae gennyf brofiad helaeth o weithio mewn partneriaeth ag elusennau, cyrff llywodraethol, a sefydliadau eraill i wella casglu, cysylltu a defnyddio data sy'n ymwneud â digartrefedd ac ansicrwydd tai.
