Bywgraffiad
Mae'r Athro Agustin Valera-Medina wedi cymryd rhan fel PI/Co-I ar 41 o brosiectau diwydiannol gyda chwmnïau rhyngwladol gan gynnwys PEMEX, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Ricardo, Airbus a FloGas (>£41M). Mae wedi cyhoeddi +270 o bapurau (h-index 52 - 05/26), 120 o'r rhain yn ymwneud yn benodol â phŵer amonia. Arweiniodd yr Athro Valera-Medina gyfraniad Caerdydd i Brosiect 'Ynni Gwyrdd Datgysylltu' Innovate-UK (2015-2018) dan arweiniad Siemens ac mewn partneriaeth â STFC a Phrifysgol Rhydychen, sy'n anelu at ddangos y defnydd o amonia gwyrdd a gynhyrchir o ynni gwynt. Ar hyn o bryd mae'n PI o brosiectau amrywiol (SAFE-AGT, FLEXnCONFU, OceanREFuel, MariNH3, CaipiriNH3a, ac ati) i ddangos pŵer amonia mewn peiriannau tyrbinau, Peiriannau Hylosgi Mewnol a ffwrneisi. Mae wedi bod yn rhan o wahanol fyrddau gwyddonol, yn cadeirio sesiynau mewn cynadleddau rhyngwladol ac yn cymedroli paneli diwydiannol mawr ar y pwnc "Amonia ar gyfer Defnydd Uniongyrchol". Mae wedi cefnogi dau Briffio Polisi'r Gymdeithas Frenhinol yn ymwneud â'r defnydd o amonia fel fector ynni, ac ef yw prif awdur y llyfrau "Techno-economic challenges of ammonia as energy vector" a "Ammonia Combustion Applications". Mae'n Gyd-gyfarwyddwr y Sefydliad Arloesi Sero Net a Chyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Ragoriaeth ar Dechnolegau Amonia (CEAT), Prifysgol Caerdydd. Mae'n Gymrawd Cymdeithas Ddysgedig Cymru (2024) ac Academi Peirianneg Mecsico (2026).
