Rwy'n ymchwilydd gwaith cymdeithasol gweithredol gyda ffocws penodol ar oruchwyliaeth, barn broffesiynol a gwneud penderfyniadau mewn lleoliadau plant a theuluoedd.
Rwyf wedi arwain neu wedi bod yn rhan o geisiadau grant llwyddiannus gwerth dros £8 miliwn mewn cyllid ymchwil gan sefydliadau gan gynnwys Ymchwil Iechyd a Gofal Cymru, Sylfaeni, NIHR a Sefydliad Nuffield. Mae prosiectau a ariennir yn ddiweddar yn cynnwys gwerthusiadau o gynadledda grwpiau teuluol, astudiaethau o fodelau goruchwylio a'u heffaith ar ymarfer, ac ymchwiliadau i gywirdeb dyfarniadau gwaith cymdeithasol. Mae'r prosiectau hyn yn aml yn cynnwys cydweithio â Llywodraeth Cymru, awdurdodau lleol a phartneriaid rhyngwladol, gan sicrhau ymarfer cryf a ffocws polisi. Mae fy ymchwil hefyd wedi cynnwys llawer o astudiaethau heb eu hariannu, megis treialu ymyriadau i wella ansawdd y farn ar waith cymdeithasol a chymharu cywirdeb dyfarniadau gweithwyr cymdeithasol â'r rhai a wneir gan ChatGPT.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio fel rhan o sawl prosiect, gan gynnwys astudiaeth o sut mae pobl ifanc, rhieni a gweithwyr cymdeithasol yn asesu ansawdd ymarfer gwaith cymdeithasol yng Nghymru, wedi'i ariannu gan HCRW, a gwerthusiad o ymyrraeth ar lefel system i wella cefnogaeth i blant â phroblemau emosiynol ac ymddygiadol.
