Rwy'n weithiwr cymdeithasol cofrestredig ac fe wnes i gymhwyso mewn gwaith cymdeithasol ym Mhrifysgol Tasmania yn Awstralia yn 2002. Yn ymarferol, gweithiais fel gweithiwr cymdeithasol ysgol gyda phlant a phobl ifanc 5-16 oed (rôl statudol) ac fel cwnselydd ac addysgwr cymunedol i elusen yn Tasmania sy'n cefnogi pobl sy'n dod allan fel LGBT. Roeddwn hefyd yn gweithio am gyfnod byr fel gweithiwr cymdeithasol ysbyty ar ôl oriau mewn ward damweiniau ac achosion brys. Cwblheais fy PhD yn 2009 ar y pwnc o gynhwysiant yn y gweithle ar gyfer pobl ifanc sy'n uniaethu fel lesbiaidd, hoyw, bisexul a queer.
Yn 2009 symudais i'r DU a chymryd fy swydd ddarlithith gyntaf mewn gwaith cymdeithasol ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe, Cymru. Yn 2016 symudais i Brifysgol Bryste, Lloegr fel uwch ddarlithydd ac yna'n Athro Cysylltiol mewn gwaith cymdeithasol a gerontoleg gymdeithasol. Dechreuais fy rôl bresennol fel athro a chyfarwyddwr CARE ddiwedd 2023.
Ers 2011 rwyf wedi arwain nifer o astudiaethau ymchwil a ariennir sy'n ansoddol yn bennaf neu'n defnyddio dulliau cymysg.
