Ymchwil
Mae fy ymchwil yn rhychwantu addysg biowyddoniaeth, cyfathrebu gwyddoniaeth ac ysgolheictod dysgu ac addysgu (SoLT), gyda ffocws penodol ar ymarfer addysgol cynhwysol, partneriaeth myfyrwyr a'r amodau sy'n siapio dysgu a gyrfaoedd academaidd. Mae fy ngwaith yn rhyngddisgyblaethol ac yn gymhwysol, gan gyfuno ymchwil empirig, ysgolheictod gwerthuso ac allbynnau sy'n wynebu'r sector i lywio polisi, ymarfer a safonau proffesiynol mewn addysg uwch.
Mae llinyn sylweddol o fy ymchwil yn archwilio sut mae gwyddoniaeth yn cael ei chyfathrebu, ei addysgu a'i phrofi ar draws cyd-destunau amrywiol, o gwricwlwm israddedig i ymgysylltu â'r cyhoedd a sefydliadau diwylliannol. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn sut y gall dylunio, asesu a chyd-greu addysgol wella perthyn, cyfranogiad a thegwch mewn addysg wyddoniaeth, a sut y gall dulliau sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth yrru newid ystyrlon ar lefel sefydliadol a sector. Mae fy ngwaith wedi cael ei ledaenu trwy gyhoeddiadau a adolygir gan gymheiriaid, cyweirnodiadau gwahoddedig, allbynnau sy'n wynebu polisi a phrosiectau cydweithredol gyda phartneriaid cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol.
Yn gynharach yn fy ngyrfa, canolbwyntiodd fy ymchwil ar niwrowyddoniaeth drosiannol, yn enwedig clefyd Huntington. Fel deiliad cymrodoriaeth ymchwil glinigol annibynnol a ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru drwy Ymchwil Iechyd a Gofal Cymru, arweiniais ymchwil yn archwilio dichonoldeb hyfforddiant gwybyddol cyfrifiadurol o fewn clinig clefyd Huntington. Mae'r gwaith hwn yn darparu sylfaen gadarn mewn ymchwil glinigol, cydweithredu rhyngddisgyblaethol ac arweinyddiaeth ymchwil, ac mae'n parhau i lywio fy ymagwedd at ysgolheictod cymhwysol, sy'n canolbwyntio ar effaith a chyfathrebu gwyddoniaeth
