Ymunais ag Ysgol Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol Prifysgol Caerdydd a'r Ganolfan ar gyfer Datblygu, Gwerthuso, Cymhlethdod a Gweithredu mewn Gwella Iechyd y Cyhoedd (DECIPHer) ym mis Chwefror 2014. Dechreuais fel darlithydd mewn dulliau ymchwil meintiol a chefais fy nyrchafu yn uwch ddarlithydd yn 2019. Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gwasanaethu ar dîm Rheoli Gweithredol DECIPHer. Rwyf hefyd yn rhan o'r Rhaglen Q-Step, a ddyluniwyd i hyrwyddo newid sylweddol mewn hyfforddiant gwyddorau cymdeithasol meintiol yn y DU. Cyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Caerdydd, gweithiais fel Cymrawd Ymchwil Ôl-Ddoethurol ym Mhrifysgol Genedlaethol Iwerddon, Galway yn gweithio ar yr Astudiaeth Ymddygiad Iechyd mewn Plant oed Ysgol.
Wedi fy addysgu ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd (BSc Seicoleg), rwyf hefyd wedi graddio o Brifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd (PhD, PgCTHE ac MSc Seicoleg Iechyd). Rwy'n Seicolegydd Siartredig (CPsychol) gyda Chymhwyster Cam 2 mewn Seicoleg Iechyd (Cymdeithas Seicolegol Prydain) ac yn Seicolegydd Ymarferydd Cofrestredig gyda'r Cyngor Proffesiynau Iechyd a Gofal (HCPC). Mae fy nghefndir academaidd mewn Seicoleg gyda ffocws penodol ar Seicoleg Iechyd. Defnyddiodd fy ymchwil PhD ac Ôl-Ddoethurol ddulliau cymysg i archwilio agweddau pobl ifanc tuag at gymryd risg rhywiol a beichiogrwydd yn eu harddegau.
Mae fy mhrif ddiddordebau ymchwil ym maes seicoleg iechyd ac iechyd y cyhoedd. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn penderfynyddion cymdeithasol ymddygiad iechyd, lles ac iechyd pobl ifanc a datblygu a gwerthuso ymyriadau i wella iechyd y cyhoedd. Yn benodol, mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys ymyrraeth mewn lleoliadau addysgol (e.e., ysgolion a lleoliadau addysg bellach) yn enwedig mewn perthynas ag iechyd rhywiol pobl ifanc, ymddygiad rhywiol sy'n cymryd risg, addysg perthnasoedd a rhywioldeb, trais ar sail perthynas a thrais ar sail rhyw (yn enwedig ymhlith ieuenctid rhywiol a lleiafrifoedd rhywedd). Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn cyfranogiad ieuenctid ym mhob agwedd ar gynnal ymchwil. Yn fy rôl bresennol, rwy'n cyd-arwain ar gyfer Rhaglen waith Lleoliadau a Sefydliadau Iach o fewn DECIPHer, a fi yw arweinydd rhyngwladol y Rhwydwaith Ymchwil Iechyd Ysgolion (SHRN).

Ymchwil
My main research interests are in the area of health psychology and public health. I am interested in the social determinants of young people's health, wellbeing and health behaviours and the development and evaluation of interventions to improve public health. In particular, my research interests include adolescent sexual health and sexual behaviour with a specific focus on teenage pregnancy. I am also interested in youth participation in research design and the application of quantitative methods in social science.Addysgu
