Mae fy ymchwil PhD wedi ehangu fy ngalluoedd mewn diagnosteg foltedd uchel. Datblygais dechnegau arloesol, wedi'u datrys gan amser sy'n cyfuno mesur rhyddhau rhannol traddodiadol gyda dulliau aml-synhwyrydd, gan gynnwys synwyryddion amledd uchel iawn, canfod optegol, a mesuriadau trydanol, i ddal maint ac amseriad gollyngiadau trydanol yn gywir. Mae fy ngwaith yn archwilio sut mae amodau foltedd amrywiol, gwrthdroi polaredd, ac amrywiadau maes trydanol yn effeithio ar gollyngiadau corona ac arwyneb, wrth asesu perfformiad nwyon amgen SF₆ sy'n gyfeillgar i'r amgylchedd. Mae'r ymchwil integredig hon nid yn unig yn mireinio methodolegau diagnostig ond hefyd yn darparu mewnwelediadau beirniadol ar gyfer dylunio systemau foltedd uchel mwy diogel, mwy gwydn a chynaliadwy.
Wedi ennill o fy astudiaethau Meistr blaenorol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, cefais sylfaen drylwyr mewn peirianneg foltedd uchel trwy fy nysgu sut i ddylunio a dadansoddi systemau pŵer modern. Dysgais ddeall esblygiad rhwydweithiau trydanol i gridiau craff, gweithredol; gweithredu strategaethau rheoli rhwydwaith datblygedig ac ochr y galw; a dylunio cynlluniau diogelu cadarn ar gyfer rhwydweithiau trawsyrru a dosbarthu. Mae fy mhrosiectau hefyd yn meithrin sgiliau hanfodol mewn modelu effeithiau cynhyrchu dosbarthedig, perfformio asesiadau risg cynhwysfawr, a defnyddio technegau monitro a rhagfynegi cyflwr i ragweld dirywiad offer. Ar yr un pryd, mae fy hyfforddiant ymarferol mewn electroneg pŵer, dylunio synhwyrydd magnetig, integreiddio ynni adnewyddadwy, a dadansoddiad llif pŵer yn fy ngrymuso i fynd i'r afael â heriau yn y byd go iawn—megis optimeiddio galw am ynni ar gyfer targedau sero net a chynllunio cymysgeddau cyflenwi ynni yn y dyfodol.
