Research

My particular research interest lies in the editing of Shakespeare's texts and in the problems raised by modern editions. I also maintain a long-standing interest in the teaching of Shakespeare and in the student experience.

Biography

I took my BA and PhD at Nottingham. I joined Cardiff University in 1973 and quickly became involved in student welfare and practices of teaching.

With my colleague Dr John Peck I undertook the editing over twenty years of a series of books for Palgrave Macmillan, including the New Casebooks series, as well as publications designed to improve student writing.
