Overview
My main area of work centres of the development and connectivity of Bioinformatic compute resources and researchers. I currently provide advice and guidance for Wales Gene Park for their Digital transition.
I happy to collaborate on areas of Bioinformatics including RNASeq and differential gene analysis, SNP analysis and E-DNA based research.
I have worked on a wide variety of research topics including E-DNA analysis of water samples from Africa to the Arctic circle, environmental monitoring, replicative lung models and even developing a 3D printing facility for use in research and education.

Research
I am a lecturer and researcher in Bioinformatics, collaborating with a wide range of healthcare and environmental projects.
My role is split between continued digital advisory role for Wales Gene Park and developing bioinformatic skills and resources at Swansea University.
I am currently developing a major new Healthcare Bioinformatics initiative.
Teaching
I lecture and train students and staff on a wide range of Bioinformatics including:
RNASeq experiments
Differential gene expression analysis
SNP analysis in de novo organisms
E-DNA analysis
