Teams and roles for Alnur Alchinbay

Overview

I am a first year PhD student interested in associative learning and memory processes.

Particualrly, i am interested in conditioned inhibition in both human and non-human animals.

Research

My current research covers topics related to conditioned inhibition.

Particularly, the investigation of Feature-Negative (A+/AX-) like experimental designs in development of inhibition in humans.

I aim at using basic and simple stimuli (like shapes and colours) and established tasks (like Go/No-Go) to investigate conditioned inhibition phenomena.

More broadly, I am interested in associaitve learning.

Teaching

I am also a GTA for the 2025/26 Academic Year.

GTA entails giving weekly seminars during both terms to 1st year undergraduate students that accompanies the lecture material. The aim is to provide support and develop skills in students during those weekly seminars. Additionally, I would be marking their written work.
