Overview
I am a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with a special interest in shoulder and elbow pain. I have worked in elite sport and the NHS, and I currently work in private practice. Alongside this clinical role, I am conducting a PhD investigating the use of wearable technology in return-to-sport decision-making following shoulder injury.
In line with this, I am currently conducting mixed methods research. One element of this research is investigating the reliability of upper limb kinesiology data produced by wearable Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) when captured in clinical settings. Alongside this, I am conducting qualitative research investigating athlete, coach, and clinician opinions on the value of kinesiological data, produced by wearable IMUs, to inform the decision of when an athlete returns to their sport following shoulder injury.
