Overview
I am a PhD student in Media and Cultural Studies at Cardiff University, specializing in immersive scene design for Chinese digital media art. My journey includes a Master's degree in Film and Television from the University of Bristol and a passion for harnessing digital media to drive positive change.
In 2024, I had the privilege of interning at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where I supported the UN's digital transformation efforts. I had the honor of participating in the UN Secretariat's #WomenInTech (My profile in the UN) initiative, contributing to the promotion of gender equality within the organization. By creating engaging videos, designing posters and websites, I helped showcase the contributions of women in technology across 57 UN entities. My efforts reached 15,000 UN members and significantly advanced the conversation around inclusivity.
Having worked at Kunshan Duke University and TV stations in China, I bring a global perspective and a strong commitment to creating impactful digital content. I am committed to exploring how innovative digital solutions can transform the way we experience and interact with art in an increasingly connected world.
Research
Research Interests
As a PhD student at Cardiff University's School of Media and Cultural Studies, I investigate how different elements in digital media art design influence audience immersive experiences. My research focuses on the intersection of digital transformation, spatial narratives, and audience engagement in contemporary art installations.
Current Research
My doctoral project examines immersive digital art installations through:
- Digital transformation in exhibition design
- Spatial narrative strategies
- Audience engagement and participation
- Multi-sensory experience design
I analyze case studies across Europe and China, including TeamLab Borderless (Shanghai) and Immersive Van Gogh (London), to understand how these installations reshape our engagement with digital art.
Funding
My research is supported by a 48-month China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarship.
