Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry

School of Dentistry

Overview

I gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with Distinction from The University of Bristol in 2017 and graduated with prizes in Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, and Oral medicine.

After qualifying as a dentist, I worked in a variety of settings including General Dental Practice, Maxillofacial & Oral Surgery, and Restorative Dentistry. During this time I also completed my Dental Foundation and Dental Core training.

Prior to my role at Cardiff University, I completed examinations to become a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College Surgeons Edinburgh and gained a postgraduate certificate in medical education from Swansea University. More recently I achieved HEA Fellwship (FHEA). I am currently undertaking my PhD.

I enjoy all aspects of Restorative Dentistry, with a particular interest in fixed and removable prosthodontics and endodontics.

My role as a clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry covers three main areas: clinical teaching, research, and further clinical training. I am currently the clinical lead for BDS Years 1&2 and Topic lead for Professionalism.
