Overview

My area of research concerns the role of sound and music in the media representation of women. I am particularly interested in  cinema after the sensory turn.

My research methodology integrates empirical audience studies and theoretically-informed textual analysis, in order to test the impact of cinematic representations on lived experiences of gender.
