Ms Akniyet Sarsenova

Overview

Akniyet Sarsenova is currently conducting an interdisciplinary PhD research based in the School of Modern Languages and School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University (2024-2027). Her work is dedicated to exploring peacebuilding in the borderlands through co-creation of culture in Poland.

She holds BA in Central and Eastern European Studies from Jagiellonian University (2021), MA in International Relations from Oxford Brookes University (2022) and MSc in Social Science Research Methods (International Relations) from Cardiff University (2024).

As a native Kazakh who speaks English, Russian, Turkish and Polish, Akniyet has a keen interest in women’s empowerment, peace, culture and diplomacy.
