Overview
I am a current PhD student, looking into the needs, experiences, and outcomes for minoritised groups who are eligible for the Welsh Basic Income Pilot for Care Leavers. This will complement the existing evaluation, which is being led by CASCADE in collaboration with a team of experts from across different universities: https://cascadewales.org/research/the-welsh-basic-income-evaluation/
Prior to this I worked in the third sector in policy, research, development, and participation with children, young people and families from a diverse range of backgrounds. More recently, I have worked in the CASCADE research centre at Cardiff University, supporting the involvement of people with lived experience of child and family social care services, in advising on various research projects.
I have a Master's in Social Research Methods, and a BA (Hons) in Humanities. I have a keen interest in how to promote inclusion in research for people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
