Overview
Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I am a PhD student at Cardiff Business School, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). My research focuses on the just transition of China’s agri-food supply chains. I have previously co-authored a paper with my supervisor, Dr. Maryam Lotfi, on the intersection of climate change and modern slavery. My current research interests include the impact of just transition on supply chains, corporate social responsibility, and issues such as excessive working hours (the “996” culture) and decent work.
I previously worked at GFS Express, where I was involved in cross-border e-commerce logistics delivery between the Chinese customer TEMU with local supplier Carson Logistics in Qatar. During this time, I supported local suppliers in achieving the Great Place to Work 2024 Award. This experience gave me valuable insights into the realities of cross-border supply chains, as well as extensive international business exposure.
At present, I am co-authoring a paper with my undergraduate supervisor, Professor Gaofeng Wang, titled Symbiotic Mechanisms in Cross-Border Agricultural Supply Chains: How Logistics Parks Enable Sustainable Development Through Multi-Dimensional Integration. The paper has been submitted to the International Journal of Operations and Production Management and is currently under review.
