Biography
I am a doctoral researcher in Translation Studies at Cardiff University, with a strong academic background in Japanese language, culture, and media. Having completed both my BA in Japanese & Translation and my MA in Translation Studies at Cardiff, I have developed a deep interdisciplinary expertise that bridges cultural studies, language studies, and media theory.
My research focuses on the reception, adaptation, and reinterpretation of Japanese popular culture, in particular video games, anime, and manga, within French cultural contexts. I am especially interested in how video games act as cultural texts, mediating history and identity across borders through convergence culture and participatory practices.
Passionate about teaching, I am eager to share my knowledge of Japanese culture, media, and translation with students. My long-term goal is to pursue an academic career as a unilecturer, contributing to both research and teaching in the fields of translation, media, and cultural studies.
