Overview

I graduated from the Cardiff School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2006. Following completion of a pre-registration year in community pharmacy, I returned to the department to undertake a PhD, which was successfully defended in November 2011.

Now working as a lecturer within the School, my research lies in the field of sepsis and infection, with particular focus on the development of point-of-care diagnostic tools to enable rapid diagnosis, patient stratification and personalisation of therapies.

I enjoy working across disciplines and have established collaborations with engineers, physicists, clinical academics and industrial partners from around the UK and within the EU in order to deliver impactful, translational research.
