Overview
I am a lecturer and the course leader on the Bar Training Course (BTC) within the School of Law and Politics. Having studied Law at Cardiff, I was called to the Bar in July 2004, and prior to joining the University in September 2015 practiced at both the self-employed and employed Bar. My area of expertise is in civil litigation, and I am co-module lead on the Civil Litigation module of the BTC and module lead for the Drafting module. Alongside my colleague Sarah Waters, I am responsible for coordinating the undergraduate mooting provision within the Law School. In addition to my work at the University, I am appointed by the BSB as an Assistant Chief Examiner for Professional Ethics, and am the Chief Undergraduate External Examiner for the Law programmes at Leeds Beckett University.
