Teams and roles for Nye Davies

Overview

Nye Davies is a lecturer based in the School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University and a member of the Wales Governance Centre. His research focuses on the Labour Party, Welsh politics and the study of ideas.

Nye has published two books on the Labour Party politician Aneurin Bevan. This is My Truth: Aneurin Bevan in Tribune is the first edited collection of Bevan’s writings in the magazine Tribune. His second book, The Political Thought of Aneurin Bevan, takes a new approach by treating Bevan as a political thinker and reconstructing his political thought. It offers an alternative perspective on a complex figure and provides new insight into Bevan’s intellectual development and the ideas that drove his politics.

Nye has also published work on the Welsh Labour Party, including two journal articles that explore the party’s history in Wales and its ideological development. Nye has written extensively for publications such as The Conversation, BBC, Tribune, Nation.Cymru, and the Western Mail. Nye has also appeared on BBC Radio Wales and LBC News, and his work has been cited by The Guardian.
