Research
A key aim of my research to date has been to highlight the philosophical significance of Jean-Paul Sartre's biographical studies and the psychoanalytical method he developed. See, my monograph, Sartre's Existential Psychoanalysis: Knowing Others (Bloomsbury, 2023).
I also work in feminist philosophy. I have published papers on the gendered politics of shame, women's psychological oppression, the meanings that are projected onto women's bodies, as well as a book chapter that draws upon recent research into the phenomenon of 'imaginative resistance' to provide a feminist critique of Fifty Shades of Grey. More recently, I have been analysing electronically mediated relations from a feminist perspective and written a chapter on 'Understanding Incels as a Group' for a volume I have edited with S. Orestis Palermos, entitled Feminist Philosophy and Emerging Technologies (Routledge, forthcoming).
