Dr Olga Eyre
Clinical Research Fellow, Division of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences
Overview
I am a clinical research fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry based at the Wolfson Centre for Young People's Mental Health.
My research to date has focused on irritability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and depression in young people. I completed a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellowship in 2019, which expored the link between childhood irritability and later adolescent depression in young people with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental difficulties. I am interested in understanding more about early risk factors for depression, particularly in children and young people with severe irritability and ADHD.
My current role in the Wolfson Centre for Young People's Mental Health involves developing an evidence based mental helth tool kit for schools, and supporting the planning of a randomised controlled trial of a preventative intervention for adolescent depression.
