Overview
Aohan Gao is a PhD candidate in the Economics, Cardiff Business School. Before pursuing her PhD degree, Aohan graduated with distinction honours in Financial Economics from Cardiff Business School.
Aohan' research interests are in labour economics, family economics and health economics. Her PhD thesis explores the impact of family elderly care and home-based elderly care policies on labour supply of married adult children in China. Alongside her research, Aohan has developed extensive teaching experience, delivering tutorials across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Cardiff Business School. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
Aohan’s supervisory team are Dr Ezgi Kaya and Dr Serena Trucchi .
