Overview
Weiwei is a PhD candidate in Accounting and Finance at Cardiff Business School (CARBS), supported by the CARBS Doctoral Scholarship Programme. Her research focuses on cryptocurrencies, blockchain economics, and market microstructure. Her doctoral thesis examines blockchain transaction activities, miner behaviour, cross-exchange arbitrage, and broader cryptocurrency market dynamics. Weiwei holds an MSc in Quantitative Finance (with Distinction) from The University of Manchester.
Her supervisory team are Professor Qingwei Wang, Dr Hossein Jahanshahloo, and Dr Laima Spokeviciute.
