Overview

I am an administrative assistant in the Open Access team in The University Library Services.

I was a Part Time Assitant Engagemenet Officer at CASCADE for over four years. I handled the administration, including arranging payments for public contributors, developed engagement resources and specialist communications. I also, assisted with providing advice, guidance, and support to involve children, young people, parents and carers within the Centre’s research plans and individual research projects.

I also work for the Arts Council of Wales managing artist interventions in schools as part of their Lead Creative Schools and Creative Leadership schemes.

I am also an independant Visual Artist who specialises in interdisciplinary and material-based approaches to painting. www.phillambert.co.uk

I have previously worked for First Campus, an inter-institutional Widening Access organisation for over four years.

Nov 2022 - Instigated and co-ordinated a White Ribbon celebration at Cardiff University featuring the work of Henny Beaumont. Resulting in an application for White Ribbon accreditation.

Biography

Current Employment 

Cardiff University 2025 - Open Access administrator in the Library Services. I also attend the Geo-Humanities group and the Creative Methods Community of Practice. 

Creative Agent, Lead Creative Schools and Creative Leadership Program, Arts Council of Wales 2020. Freelance contract managing artist interventions in Primary Schools and promoting the CCE framework on Creative Education.

Artist, Self Employed 2006. This involves running workshops, collaborating with researchers to develop engagement strategies / art works and selling work commercially. Identifying and self-initiating a range of projects, talks, residencies and workshops. I have exhibited nationally and Internationally. I have also presented to Creative Cardiff and consulted for various research groups at Cardiff University and other UK universities on fair pay, recruitment and contracting for artists.(Freelance)
