Lecturer in Maritime Logistics and Transport
Overview
Sehwa is a Lecturer in Logistics and Operations Management at Cardiff Business School. Her research centres on port management, maritime logistics and the sustainable transformation of transport systems. She investigates how ports can become more sustainable, resilient and competitive, in response to decarbonisation, operational uncertainty and changing wider societal expectations. Her research also includes multimodal freight transport and the strategic development of maritime logistics systems.
She completed her PhD at Cardiff Business School and also holds an MBA in International Commerce, an MSc in Social Science Research Methods and a BSc in International Trade. She is a Fellow of Advance HE and teaches across logistics, transport and supply chain management.
Her work combines strong theoretical foundations with quantitative and qualitative methods, including statistical modelling, longitudinal analysis, survey research and stakeholder engagement. She is particularly interested in developing evidence-based and data-informed approaches to support decision-making in ports, freight transport and maritime logistics.
She welcomes opportunities for doctoral supervision, interdisciplinary collaboration and industry-engaged research in maritime logistics, ports and sustainable transport.
