Overview
After achieving my degree in Literary Theory and Criticism in the University of Valladolid (Spain), I took my doctorate courses and wrote my Masters Dissertation about modern Arthurian Literature, focusing my study on a British author, Bernard Cornwell. I have written my PhD thesis on the trilogy The Warlord Chronicles by the aforementioned author.
I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language since 1998, when I first came to Wales to work as an assistant at a secondary school. I have been teaching for Cardiff University since 2001. Spanish Language (at various levels), Spanish Literature and History and Spanish Cinema are some of the courses I have offered throughout these years.
I started working for the School of European Languages, Translation and Politics 2004.

Biography
After achieving my degree in Literary Theory and Criticism in the University of Valladolid (Spain), I took my doctorate courses and wrote my Masters Dissertation about modern Arthurian Literature, focusing my study on a British author, Bernard Cornwell. I have written my PhD thesis on the trilogy The Warlord Chronicles by the aforementioned author. I am interested in Medieval Literature and Culture, Neo-medievalism, Literature and Mythology, Literature and History, Comparative Literature and Literary Criticism, History of Language and the diachronic and synchronic study of Languages.
I am currently co-supervising a PhD in Spain on the topic of reception of the Arthurian tradition in Europe and another on the production of contemporary Arthurian texts in Spain.
