Overview

I'm Dean of Welsh for the university. As Dean I work with staff and students across the University to integrate the Welsh language into our culture and activities, mainly through the Welsh Academy, which oversees all Welsh-language initiatives and has its core staff in the Vice-Chancellor's Office. I look forward to leading the next phase of this work and contributing to the success of our new strategy at the University. The Welsh language and culture can root us in their place – in our culture, habitat, and community – while opening doors to new speakers, communities, and cultures.

I am also a Senior Lecturer and Senior Personal Tutor in the School of Welsh. I am also an Academic Partner for Personal Learning Support at the Learning and Teaching Academy, Cardiff.

At the School of Welsh I lead modules CY3660 Yr Ystafell Ddechrau (In the Classroom, Level 6) and CY2205 (Yr Iaith ar Waith (Lanuage in the Workplace, Level 5). I also contribute to many foudles that look at aspects of lanugage, literature and culture.
