Overview
Dr Stanislava Nedeva joined Cardiff University as a Lecturer in Law in January 2024, and has previously taught at Reading University, and before that at UWE Bristol and the University of Exeter (part-time).
Dr Nedeva has research interests in investment law, arbitration (international commercial and investment treaty), energy law (oil and gas), EU and private international law. She has published in the above fields; and is open to collaborative research in these areas.
She obtained the Vice-Chancellor’s Research Studentship (full funding, merit-based) to complete her PhD in oil and gas investment contracts and arbitration at the University of Exeter. Her thesis was recognised with the ‘Honourable Mention’ Award at the ICC Institute of World Business Law Competition 2021. Following from that, her monograph was accepted for publication and is now published by Edward Elgar Publishing, with the title Predictability in Oil and Gas Investment Agreements: Balancing Interests for a Stable Investment Environment.
Stanislava welcomes proposals from prospective doctoral students, as well as LLB and LLM dissertations, that fall within her areas of interest.
