Overview
I am a Senior Lecturer in Economics in Cardiff University. I am a macroeconomist and my research interests include sovereign debt and default, monetary policy in open macro and financial intergration. I hold a PhD from the European University Institute in Florence (2016).
Since 2018 I am a Visiting Academic in the Bank of England and since 2019 I also hold a position in the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2020 I was appointed to the Covid-19 Advisory Team to the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Biography
- I am a founder of a think tank "Dobrobyt na Pokolenia" (Prosperity for Generations). We bring academic rigour to the public debate to promote financial stability and inclusive growth.
- I am also a member of Concilium Civitas, a society gathering Polish social science professors from the best foreign universities.
- In December 2020 I have been appointed a member of the Covid-19 Advisory Group to the President of the Polish Academy Of Sciences.
