Overview
I am a Research Associate in Statistics in the Centre for Trials Research at Cardiff University where I have worked since September 2014. I initially joined Wales Cancer Trials Unit which later merged with other trials units within Cardiff University to become the Centre for Trials Research. As such, my main areas of interest are solid tumour and haematology trials. I have built up a wealth of experience over the years in developing and running cancer clinical trials, from initial funding applications and clinical trial design, through pre-trial developement including Case Report Forms, metadata and database development, the recruitment phase include central monitoring of data and reporting to Independent Data monitoring Committees, data cleaning prior to final analysis, submission of abstracts to conferences and final publication in internationally-renowned journals. I am senior statistician on trials and supervise junior statisticians in these projects.
I have previously worked for many years as a Data Manager in Clinical Haematology and have extensive experience of Haematology Clinical trials from both the hospital side as well as the Trials Unt side.
I am hold BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences with Biochemistry, PhD in Biochemistry (University of Birmingham) and Master in Public Health (Cardiff University). I have held Post-doctoral Research Fellowships in Molecular Biology and Genetics.

Research
My research interests are clinical trials in oncology, both solid tumours and haematology.
As a trial statistician I am involved in clinical trials from trial design through to final analysis and publication, producing interim analysis for data monitoring committees and central monitoring of data.
I am currently working on Phase 1-3 trials in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, skin cancer, anal cancer, pleural mesothelioma, lung cancer, oesophageal cancer, COVID prevention in immunocompromised patients and endometrial cancer.
I am also involved as an Independent member on Data Monitoring andTrial Steering Committees.
