Teams and roles for Andrew Potter

Overview

Andrew's research interests are particularly in logistics and transport, and how these activities can be integrated into supply chains. The supply chain emphasis is important as, by looking more broadly, the implications for logistics and transport can be determined. A further area of my work in this area is consideration of policy level implications from logistics and transport operations. Through this, Andrew has provided input into policy development by the UK and Welsh Government and was a member of the Wales Roads Review panel.

More recently, he has developed a stream of research around additive manufacturing supply chains and the extent to which customers are willing to engage in the customisation of products. This work straddles the interface between marketing and operations, considering the role of the customer in determining design and production activities.

Andrew is a member of the editorial board for three international journals, and a member of the organisation committee of the International Symposium on Logistics. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and regularly appears in the media on logistics and transport issues.
