Teams and roles for Victoria Powell
Research Associate, Division of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences
Overview
I am a research associate based at the Wolfson Centre for Young People's Mental Health and am part of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry group within the Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics. My research is in developmental psychology and focusses mainly on depression in young people and families.
In my current role at the Wolfson Centre, I work as part of the oversight team on a randomised controlled trial of a preventative intervention for adolescent depression, and on a project using routinely collected data to develop a risk prediction tool for early onset depression. The work of my PhD completed in 2021 focussed on the link between ADHD and depression and I continue to be involved in research in this area.
